In an off season that was rather busy and featured a lot of new faces and new names

coming into the franchise.

One particular addition has been the most impactful

for the Pittsburgh Steelers so far

and has been as expected.

That would be veteran cornerback Dante Jackson.

Acquired via trade Jackson has been everything the Steelers were hoping for and more.

He's been a sound tackler coming downhill against the run and has tackled well in space.

He's also held his own in coverage too.

On 27 targets against this season, Jackson has allowed just 15 receptions for 154 yards. Most importantly, no

touchdowns. In the process he's picked off three passes, broken up three more, and created

quite a bit of splash for the Steelers.

After targeting him over the last few seasons via free agency and trade, the Steelers finally landed Jackson.

They've been rewarded by that acquisition in a big way so far. It's still early in the season, but it's hard to not be very pleased with Jackson's performance.

Sure, there have been some miscommunications at times, but he's constantly around the football,

is breaking up passes, and most importantly, he's creating turnovers too.

He's been a steady number two corner for the Steelers and is putting the

clamps on opponents helping the Steelers defense play at a high level so far.

That due diligence by the Steelers on Jackson is paid off and then some.

Hopefully there's even more to his game with the Black and Gold.
