I'm Melanie Freelander.

The question I've gotten most often from friends and colleagues over the past week is whether I am excited about the upcoming NFL season.

My answer surprises them though because it's no.

What I really mean though is not yet.

We're just days away from players and coaches reporting to LeTrobe for the opening of the

2024 Pittsburgh Steelers training camp.

And that is what I am excited about right now.

There are so many unknowns and questions to be answered prior to the regular season week one kickoff.

We won't learn everything we want to know in the coming weeks, but there will most certainly

be a clearer picture forming of what the 2024 Steelers can and will be. We've talked endlessly about the theoretical
