If you had to narrow down which position group is the strongest on the entire team for the Pittsburgh Steelers

it would be hard to argue against the Edgerushers.

T.J. Watt is one of, if not the best in the business and Alex Highsmith is in the upper

echelon as well.

And with reports of Nick Herbig making a second year leap to be a starting caliber type of player, it should once again be a very strong group.

An interesting quirk on the 2024 schedule is that the Steelers have the potential to face several rookie tackles this season. It was billed as a historically

strong tackle class for the 2024 NFL draft, but even the best of rookies are going to have their hands

absolutely full with Watt Highsmith and Herbig.

Joe Alt should be playing at Right Tackle when the Steelers faced the Los Angeles Chargers

in week three, pitting him against Watt.

Tyler Guyton figures to play Left Tackle for the Dallas Cowboys and we hit it against High Smith in week five.

Olu Fashano has at least a decent chance of playing for the New York Jets with Tyrone Smith,

rarely playing full seasons at his age and with his injury history.

Brandon Coleman has been getting first team reps for the Washington commanders on the left side.

Roger Rosengarten has a pretty good chance of earning the starting right tackle job for the Ravens

and would go against Watt twice if that is the case.

Amarius Mims probably won't start for the Bengals but it wouldn't be surprising to see

him start at the end of the season especially if they end up resting starters ahead of the playoffs.

And finally, Kingsley Sua Mataya of the Kansas City Chiefs

is in competition for a starting job.
