If you do this long enough, you can become mostly numb to the hot takes that you hear daily

from the talking heads across a number of platforms

in the sports world.

But sometimes one or two comments can strike a nerve and really get you going from a reactive

standpoint.

That occurred for me Monday morning with ESPN's Kevin Clark.

On the latest episode of his podcast, This is Football.

Clark tried to take yet another shot at quarterback Russell Wilson this

off season.

Stating that he can't even consider Steelers Broncos in week two a revenge game because Wilson is and I quote

incapable of revenge.

What a crock from Clark.

It seems in today's media landscape if you aren't taking a shot at Wilson and trying to downplay literally everything about him, while

criticizing him at every turn, you aren't going to generate much attention.

Wilson has become the punching bag for the national media in recent years,

especially with the Denver experiment failing miserably. In the process of stating Wilson is incapable of revenge,

Clark also stated that Wilson was objectively bad last season. He wasn't. The numbers showed he wasn't by every single metric. The only

reason Wilson was benched is because he and Sean Payton didn't mesh and

Payton had the power to move on from him period. It was a power struggle

Payton won it. Now Wilson is in Pittsburgh and has hit the ground running as a leader for a young
