In case you missed it, former Steeler's offensive linemen Kevin Dotson signed a three-year deal worth

48 million dollars to stay with the Los Angeles Rams.

Selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2020 draft,

Dotson stepped into a starting role at Wright Guard his rookie season

after veteran Stephen Wiesnuski went down injured in week one.

Dotson remained there for the rest of the season and played fairly well.

The following year the Steelers moved Dotson to left guard to replace a departing Matt

Filer with new free agent Trey Turner

taking over at right guard for Pro Bowl or David De Castro, a surprise cut in June which

led to his retirement due to ankle injury. Dotson would remain at left guard for the next few seasons,

but it was a move that didn't really suit him.

After three seasons with the Steelers, he was traded to the Rams,

where he returned to his natural position at right guard.

And what do you know?

By the end of the season, Dotson was ranked as one of the top offensive linemen in the league,

not top guard, top offensive linemen.

When asked about his success with his new team, Dotson

attributed it to being more comfortable at Right Guard and having to think less.

Sure, you can make a fair argument that he landed on a team with an offensive scheme that

suited him better.
