The Pittsburgh Steelers are well into their offensive coordinator search just two weeks after

their season ended in the wild card round of the playoffs.

A number of hiring for OC have already been made around the league such as

Kellenmore to Philadelphia,

Shane Waldron to Chicago, and Zach Robinson to Atlanta. There are still

eight openings as of the recording of this episode on Sunday

evening and Steelers fans are starting

to get anxious. Why aren't they moving quickly on this hire? Will there still be good candidates

available? I get it. It's tough to be patient while other teams make their hires, but no need to be anxious about it, at least not yet.

This dealers have officially brought in three candidates with former Panthers O.C. Thomas Brown, Houston Texans quarterback coach Jared Johnson and most recently

former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith.

But it's important to remember there is a coach whose team is still

participating in the playoffs that is very likely to be given a look by

the Steelers.

That is 49ers past game coordinator Clint Kubiak.

Mike Talmud and the Steelers front office typically have a large

contingent at the Senior Bowl which will begin Tuesday so don't be surprised if

it's a slower week on the OC news front, but Kubiak will be available to interview starting this week.

Some will point to the fact that Zach Robinson was requested for an interview but didn't end up coming in as evidence that the Steelers are an unattractive landing place but Robinson has ties to

Rahim Morris the new head coach of the Falcons and reportedly wanted to go with him all along.
