Mike Tomlin is a big believer in football justice.

He said as much about Kenny Pickett. Once

essentially concluding he's sticking with him and thinks Pickett will turn his

career around solely because of that. The justice of Pickett putting in the work, being a solid guy that he'll naturally be rewarded with positive

results. If we accept that to be true, what does it mean for Mason Rudolph?

Can he benefit from that so-called justice?

He's a guy who has bided his time, been extremely patient, really never said a bad word about the team despite chances and

reasons to do so now starting late in the Steelers season. It'll probably be

his only one can he pick it on track to return in week 17 to finish out the

regular season for Rudolph this is his one shot maybe his final NFL one if things

don't go well but what if if they do? If he plays reasonably well and can engineer a victory.

Maybe the NFL comes calling after freezing him out of free agency a year ago.

Maybe the Steelers dump Mitch Trubiski, something they'll probably do

regardless, but in this case sign Rudolph to become the number two. Don't expect this to entirely

change Rudolph's career. He's a backup.

Yesterday, today, not tomorrow technically, but every day after that.

But it would be the ultimate football justice for him to have his moment on the field Saturday against the

Bengals. Get Pittsburgh a big win and have a statement NFL game. If you're Mike Tomlin

by his philosophy you have to think that's what's going to happen.
