Steelers Patriots.

You hear that matchup and immediately you think of greatness, Tom Brady and Ben Rothusberger,

Troy Paulo maulu and Rodney Harrison, heck even James Ferrier in Teddy Brushki. Those were the days. Those match-ups always carried weight.

And quite honestly, a lot of times the Patriots came out on top in those match-ups.

Now though, entering Thursday night's matchup in primetime at Accenture Stadium,

it's just name-brand appeal at this point when it comes to this matchup.

Mike Tomlin and Bill Bellachik.

Like two old prize fighters trying to squeeze out one last fight, one last round, maybe one last win.

It's just not the same anymore.

That's in the past.

Many believe the game has passed. That's in the past.

Many believe the game has passed both defensive-minded coaches by. That might be the case.

The fact is, though, one old ball coach is still in the playoff mix in the AFC

that of course being Tomlin. The other Bellachik well he's having the worst

season of his career at 2 and 10.

He's set to pick in the top 5 of the 2024 NFL draft, assuming he's still New England's head coach after the season.

The other, with Tomlin feels like things have gotten quite stale in the Steel City

stale like those old pollution infested skylines during the heyday.

Though Thursday night is a match-up with very, very little on the line between the two teams,

it could carry weight in one aspect, potentially the last time the two old gun slingers stand across from each other
