0:29.4	and you receive the promotion instead of them. Or you can turn the tables in sports. Go online
0:35.1	and you can find endless debates about which comeback was the greatest. Some of you
0:39.2	might remember the 2017 Super Bowl when the Atlanta Falcons were beating the New England Patriots 28 to 3 at halftime.
0:46.4	No team had ever overcome that big of a deficit in Super Bowl history, but the Patriots turned
0:51.2	the tables on the Falcons and they won the game in overtime.
0:54.3	Well in the Book of Esther we're getting ready to see one of the greatest comebacks in Jewish history.
0:59.4	Here's Ezra 9 verse 2. On this day the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but now the tables were
1:07.0	turned and the Jews got the upper hand over those who hated them.
1:11.2	Even if you've been listening to the story of Esther with us for the past few days, you could probably
1:15.6	use a quick recap, and if you haven't been listening, you definitely need one to understand

1:23.0	Esther is a book written after the Jews had been kicked out of Jerusalem and taken
1:27.8	captive in Babylon. Eventually Persia conquers Babylon and Cyrus, who's the King of Persia, let the Jews return to Jerusalem
1:35.1	to rebuild the temple.
1:36.1	That's what the books of Ezra and Nehemiah are all about.
1:39.9	But not all the Jews left Persia and returned to Jerusalem.
1:43.3	Many stayed and thrived in the Persian Empire.
