And I want to start off today by telling a true story.

Back in 2009, there were two Iranian women who were arrested and they were sentenced to death

because, not just because of their faith in Jesus Christ,

but also because they were actively distributing Bibles to people, their people.

And so what they did was every night they would gather together the two of them, and they would

pack New Testament Bibles in their backpacks, and then they would go out and walk for miles,

many hours sometimes, and they would distribute these Bibles into people's mailboxes.

Well, over the course of about three years, these two women were able to distribute over 20,000

New Testament Bibles before they were discovered and arrested and sentenced to death.

Now, in this particular case, the UN got involved.

There was a lot of international pressure on Iran to release these women.

And so these two women, unlike many others in their circumstance, actually lived to tell

their story.

But you have to think about the reality that these women,

they knew what they were doing was illegal.

They knew that what they were doing was very dangerous,

and it was probably just a matter of time before they were caught,

and yet still, they were willing to risk their lives to get the Bible in the hands of their people.

And you have to wonder why.

Like these are people that they would never meet in person, people that they would never have a one-on-one conversation with, but it was worth it to them.
