This is a Salaback Church podcast.

Today we're kicking off a new series called The Anchored Life.

And if you were with us last week, Stacey kind of got us rolling with this.

You talked about the eight-week challenge that we're going to do as a church family.

And last week, many of you stepped up and you said,

I'm going to read through the New Testament with the rest of the church.

We've been talking about this all weekend long.

And right now we have just over 14,000 adults who have said yes to take the Anchored Life

Challenge.

And this is significant because there are going to be families that are changed.

There are going to be so many of you that are new to this journey of faith that begin

and start to understand God's love for you and begin relationship with him.

And some of you today, maybe this is your first time here, or maybe you weren't here last

week, but I'm going to give an

opportunity at the end of our time to take that challenge together. And before I jump into that,

though, I want to make sure you know how excited I am about next weekend. Pastor Rick is going to

be back to bring the message. This is his first time back to teach since the transition

happened, and we're so thrilled. I want to encourage you to be praying for him as he prepares

this week. I also want to encourage you to make sure you're back, bring somebody with you, and let's celebrate.

It's his 70th birthday, so we get to celebrate his birthday. I hope it's okay

that I said his age. It's going to be a great weekend next weekend as Pastor Rick comes back.
