This is a Salaback Church podcast.

Today I'm very excited. We're going to be talking about future vision that God has

both for our church and for our lives individually. I'm excited to share with you where I believe

God is leading our church this year, some of the big vision initiatives,

and really tie it together with our own individual life, with God's vision for this year.

Now, I want to begin with a little bit of a question for you.

How many of you are goal setters?

Like at the beginning of the year, you set goals, you write them out, raise them up high.

Earlier in the day, there's more people who are goal setters in our services.

How many of you are like, man, that's for somebody else?

Just out of curiosity.

All, everything in between.

Now, I want to share something with you that might be a bit sobering.

If you look at studies, I read an article this week, studies show us that when people set

New Year's resolutions or goals for the new year, by the time they get to the end of Q1, less

than 50% of people will actually remember or still be focused on that goal.

Now, that might not seem very uncommon or unrealistic.

Like, yeah, I get that.

But by the end of the year, less than 6% of people will still be pursuing their dreams or goals for the year.
