Today I'm going to talk about something I really haven't thought too much about,

but somebody's asking me about this subject, so I will address it.

A person wrote and said, first of all, I love your podcast.

You show compassion and aren't judgmental.

You don't blame the victim and never point out a person's low self-esteem as the source

of abuse like other resources do.

I've been listening to you for a year now, and there's a thing that strikes me.

You talk a lot about the abusers' insecurities, but never take the angle of misogyny.

I've met a number of abusive men in my life, and it nevertheless seems to always be a core feature, whether they

are a porn addict, have conservative views of male-female relationships or both. They always seem

to expect subservience and submission from their partner and that seems to be fed by their

ideas about women. I'm fully aware that some women and LGBT people are also abusive.

I've met a number of them, though not as partners.
