our podcast and your host is Daniel Harwitz back here today. I'm sorry to say the last show

before Thanksgiving. Hopefully tomorrow taking off will allow my voice to heal whatever problems

I'm having, which is tough because I have the desire to just scream today.

There is so much I want to get out to you guys.

There is so much going on.

So many life lessons being learned.

But instead, what I'm going to do is try to filter that all through one story, but use that one story as a case study for an advanced

graduate course in right-wing political science, something you're not going to get anywhere else.

We talk about the issues that matter and the way they matter at the time they matter.

Because what the Republican Party and the conservative ink media has been so good about for so long, so adept to doing so skilled, tenacious, but duplicitous, is screwing us when the issue mattered at the time it actually mattered

and then coming before us in the way it doesn't quite matter and certainly at the time

it doesn't matter but it kind of looks shiny and sexy and cool and that's worse than doing nothing because it's subversive.

What that does is give people the impression that you're taking care of it, that there's

a new day in America, it's morning in America, and therefore you don't have to do anything

else.

You won't do anything else.

You won't focus on anything else.
