Good afternoon. Dwayne here, Dry Creek Rangler School. Not obviously doing Wrangler stuff today.

It's cold. It's cold out. It's been raining off and on for several days now. Everything's super muddy and wet.

And we got more rain coming in. We've got a fire going in the stove. Just came in from

outside where I had a cigar and been doing some reading today and yesterday. And I want to, I want

to share a poem with you today. And I was reading and I came across this one and I thought this is one I like.

I've read several times in the past and I thought this is a good one to share with folks.

It's the name of the poem is Solitude and it's by Ella Wheeler Wilcox.

She was born in 1855, and she died in 1919.

But I really like this poem.

I've been reading it for years.

It says, laugh, and the world laughs with you.

Weep, and you weep alone.

For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,

but has trouble enough of its own.

Sing and the hills will answer.

Sigh, it is lost on the air.

The echoes bound to a joyful sound, but shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice and men will seek you, grieve, and they will turn and go. They want full measure

of all your pleasure, but they do not need your woe.

Be glad and your friends are many. Be sad and you lose them all.

There are none to decline your nectar wine, but alone you must drink life's gall.

Feast and your halls are crowded.
