I come unrehearsed on purpose because self-help doesn't have to be so complicated.

So I was thinking to myself after reading someone's announcement on Instagram that that is not where they show up authentically, it's now substack where they show up authentically.

And I was thinking it reminded me of, well, the first two things. One, it

reminded me of Tumblr, which was the original substack, and how that's where I first showed up

authentically. And it reminded me that it was always words first, right? That's where I felt the most honest.

I was the most vulnerable, transparent.

Also, you could hide behind words, which felt very safe to me.

You could sit down and think.

You don't have to just, like, you know, with social media these days, you know,

turn on a video which can make the message or you showing up a little distorted, right?

Because we all care to a certain extent what people think of us. And putting a camera on our

face is definitely not going to encourage us because we're human to just show up completely honestly, right, with no filter. But the

blog, and I think this is why blogs blew up back in the day, you could hide behind your words.

And by doing so, you actually can show yourself, right? The irony of that, hiding behind words,

but by doing so, you can truly show yourself. And it reminded me of that, behind words but by doing so you can truly show yourself and it

reminded me of that but then it also reminded me of this other thing which is what this episode is

about and not only is that is it the topic of this episode but it's actually me executing what i'm

what i'm about to talk to you about it's because because I sat with myself and I said, well, what's my most intimate platform?

Right?

...
