0:05.6	someone at school taught us, or at least a mentor. Hey, welcome to the Tom Ferry Show. Today I want to talk to you about the real

0:22.8	And quite honestly, as I reflect on it as a father, as a coach,
0:26.2	as a friend, as a mentor to a few, what we should have been taught in school,
0:30.7	what our parents wish they would have told us, and certainly if you had a mentor,

0:39.0	That the way you identify yourself, when you look in the mirror and you say there he is there she is the
0:46.4	things you say about yourself your identity determine what you believe about
0:51.6	yourself and what you believe about yourself and what you believe about yourself shows up in
0:55.8	your natural behaviors. Let me say it to you again. Your identity determines your
1:01.0	belief and your belief determines your behavior. You've heard me say
1:05.4	or maybe see me to show say before where I say you've got to set your goals and the
1:09.0	challenge is maybe your behaviors are over here and we've got to align your
1:12.4	behaviors.
1:14.1	Today we're going to unpack the secret.
1:15.9	What you should have been taught a million years ago,
1:18.9	and that's simply this, that when you set that big ambitious goal,
1:22.4	when you decide, I want to take my business from a hundred thousand to a million dollars a year
1:27.0	and you don't take the action you want, you don't make the phone calls, you don't follow through, you don't do all the things you know you got to do to generate whatever that goal is
