Hello, it's Antrice and welcome to another episode of the savvy painter

podcast. I have to tell you I am getting super excited about my trip home to

California for my exhibit at the Dog Gallery in Pomona.

Last week I told you that I would share some of my strategies and preparations for the show

because I know that having a behind the scenes peak can be really, really valuable.

So, this week I spoke with a gallery manager and we are shifting the artist's reception to March 7th.

Now this is a little different for the Dahl Gallery because normally the artist reception

would coincide with Second Saturday, which is the downtown art walk. The reason I wanted to move the reception is strategic.

I wanted to create a special night just for my collectors that's a little less chaotic.

Second Saturday is very well attended and it gets a little crazy. It has a huge

huge draw with an enormous crowd. Everything is open, there's bands, there's taco trucks.

It's a lot of fun. open, there's bands, there's taco trucks.

It's a lot of fun.

But the problem was I wouldn't be able to interact

with my true fans in a way that I want to.

So I'm designing a special presentation

because I know my collectors will appreciate it.

They're interested in the story behind my project, a portrait of Argentina, and they want to hear

more about why I created it and exactly how I pulled it off.

And they want to hear the stories about some of the adventures my husband and I had
