Dog Gallery in Pomona this coming March. My husband and I are packing things up and

getting ready to leave for three months so we're shutting and I am

are packing things up and getting ready to leave for three months. So we're shutting down the house here and closing up his shop.

And I wanted to continue and just give you little updates on how I am preparing for the show. This week I am

working out the signage and making decisions about how to tell the story of

the journey. Every painting in the exhibit has a story to tell.

Something happened along the way to its creation,

so I'm figuring out how to bring that to life

and to give the painting context for people.

I also made the decision to include photos as part of the exhibit.

The photo shows sort of behind the scenes what you don't see in the painting. Things like

are Road Warrior Toyota Corolla crossing rivers and forebying in places the car definitely wasn't designed to be in.

I wish though that I had gotten photos of our makeshift sleeper in the back of that car.

Much to the dismay of hitchhikers across Argentina, we took the back seats out of the back of the car and

made it into a bed. So we both slept very, very comfortably with our bodies in the back seat and our legs in the trunk. If you can imagine that, we kind of put padding where your feet normally go so you

had a place for our heads and then our bodies were on the back seat and our legs in
