So you're a dietitian.

I'm curious, how long have you been working in that field?

And maybe you can tell a little bit, like, how did your personal journey lead you into that work?

So I launched my practice in 2020, but I've been a student of physiology, really functional medicine for well over a decade.

And my journey on this path started kind of from like a shadowy aspect. I struggled with an

eating disorder for the majority of my life. And I became interested in the field of nutrition

from the angle of like wanting to learn how to

hack my body essentially so that I could be thin and happy and perfect and all that crap.

And then I ended up falling in love with the field of nutrition and and through the journey

like academically and through my own personal journey, so much has

transformed and expanded.

And I still very much love the field, but there's a whole like underbelly of my work that

I did not learn in school.

And what kind of things, what kind of things did you learn outside of school?

Well, so the name of my practice is the root cause method. And I really believe that the root cause

of many, many illnesses is actually trauma and the various manifestations of that in the body.

And the ways in which we try to regulate our super dysregulated systems and how that leads to more and more,

you know, disregulation and imbalance and inflammation and illness ultimately.

And so a lot of my work is deeply trauma-informed and the tools and the kind of modalities

that I use are, again, not something I learned in my conventional education, but I kind of blend a lot of things
