Hey there, listeners, welcome to horror movie club, the show where two dudes who are not quite nerds but not quite nubes, choose a horror movie each week to rate and review.

I'm Brian, I'm on the phone with Aschfen, and we are discussing The Ring from 2002, directed by Gore Verbensky, written by Aaron Kruger based on the 1991 novel by Koji Suzuki,

starring Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, Brian Cox, David Dorfman, and DeVe Chase.

In this film, in an effort to uncover the truth and perhaps save her own life,

a reporter investigates a videotape that kills the viewer seven days after watching it.

If you're new to the show, we're going to discuss background info that is spoiler-free

for the first 15 to 20 minutes of the show. And then once we play a little bit of transition music,

we're going to transition into spoiler mode, walk through the plot in detail, reveal the ending, and review the film.

So, you can listen for a while, but if you haven't seen the ring, you should duck out and go watch it on Paramount Plus or Netflix or rent it from the internet places.
