And this week, we're going to be talking about the 2023 film Insidious, The Red Door, directed by Patrick Wilson and starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, and Sinclair Daniel. In this film, a young man's freshman year

at college is off to a rocky start when he is reminded of some traumatic events of his childhood.

If you are new to our show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first 10, 15 minutes,

then we'll take a quick break, you'll hear some music, and then we'll come back,

and we'll hit the plots and the spoilers and get into our review.

Brian, we've been on the insidious bus now for, I think, like the last month or two.

We did one episode on Insidious One.

We did a Patreon on Insidious 2.

This is the fifth and supposedly final installment of this series.

So going into this now, what were your expectations, what were you looking for to conclude

the storyline of this franchise?

Based on our reviews of the first and second film, my expectations were just very

middle of the road.

I was like, I expect nothing but to be fairly entertained throughout the movie, but not

to think it's not to be wowed by it.

And that was after Insidious 2 went down this wacky road.

And it's like, okay, if we're back to that story, we're going to conclude it.

I'm not expecting a great story.
