And this episode, Megan, we're going to talk about something what you and I were talking about a little bit earlier.

0:14.0

And this is, it sounds simple and easy, but this is, there's some mind-blowing stuff in here,

0:19.0

or at least stuff that we were definitely doing wrong absolutely right and this is this is the best ways to

0:23.6

store your veggies and it's one of those like it's one of those most vexing kind of

0:28.4

issues is you know I buy the packaged baby spinach from the grocery store every

0:34.0

week and you know two days later I'll go in it'll be like slimy and I. And I'm like, do I keep this? Do I throw it away? Is it still good? Is it not good? You know, fruits, do they go in the refrigerator? Do they not? What fruits can be next to what vegetables and what ones should be next to? So at the end, and then at the end of the day, you get to the end of the week and you realize you've thrown half the vegetables that you've had away because you because they've gone

0:56.6

bad and you get frustrated you get mad at the vegetable right I mean I get mad at the

1:01.9

vegetable or I blame the grocer and I'm like oh my god they they sold me like this obviously

1:11.2

Like, it's, it's my fault, apparently. And this is, and this is something that, you know, Natalie and I at home, you know, it, we don't argue about, but it's, it's a cause of great debate as to, like, what goes where, like things that, that go in the fridge or don't go in the bridge and I try and I try and figure it out by by how I got it at the store like what's what's

1:28.9

stored in the in the kind of cooler section yeah and what's out in the fridge or don't go in the fridge. And I try and figure it out by how I got it at the store.

1:27.9

Like what's stored in the kind of cooler section? And what's out in the Iowa way kind of?

1:33.7

But it's all really cool in the produce section anyway. So everything feels cool to the touch.

1:37.8

And what's even more frustrating for me is you stock up your fridge with tons of healthy fruits

1:42.6

and hearty veggies, only to watch them

1:44.4

grow moldy and decompose after just a couple days. And not only is this a major waste of money,

1:49.6

but it's contributing to the major food waste problem that we have here in America. Half of all

1:54.3

U.S. produce is thrown out. It's astonishing. Half of it. That's terrible. I thought it was just half
