Hello friends, happy Tuesday. I hope your day is doing you well.

Today we're beginning a brand new series all about the balance between pleasure and production.

But first today's Rosebud and Thorn. My roast today is that normally when I stop by the coffee shop

0:23.5

in the afternoon, there's one I cross from the office. I get an espresso and I sit there and I

0:28.8

read for a bit while I sit on it and this is a lovely thing. However the last two days,

of self-care planned. My boys are going on a camping trip for the night so while they're gone,

1:28.0

I'm going to do some fun things just for me. Okay, so let's have a conversation around productivity

1:33.8

and pleasure. Back in May we discussed productivity culture and why it is prevalent and how to not

1:39.2

let it be what causes your burnout. However, it still feels though there is more to say. And the

1:46.1

trouble that I have with the conversation around productivity is that it's really not as easy as

1:50.8

right or wrong like we should be productive or we shouldn't focus on productivity at all.

1:56.3

It is kind of always both and while I hope that you aren't measuring your worth by productivity,
