1:13.6	And in the middle is my mother, Marion. She was sent to start a new life in a new country,
1:21.6	on her own at the age of 12. I know this.
1:32.3	If Britain had not admitted refugees in the 1940s,
1:35.9	I certainly would not be here today.
1:41.5	Yet 70 years on, the wheel has come full circle.
1:49.1	The sound is of walls being built, vengeful political rhetoric, humanitarian values and principles on fire in the very countries that 70 years ago said never again to statelessness
1:57.0	and hopelessness for the victims of war.
2:09.6	Last year, every minute, 24 more people were displaced from their homes by conflict, violence and persecution.
