Proverbs chapter 4 and also Proverbs chapter 14 and we've been talking about the heart this week.

The condition of the heart and the importance of the heart.

And notice these phrases here in Proverbs 4 and also in Proverbs 14.

First of all, this is a very familiar portion of Scripture to us, most charismatics, that is.

When he says here, verse 20, my son, attend to my words inclined thine ear into my sayings

let them not depart from thine eyes keep them in the midst of thine heart for there are

life under those that find them and health to all their flesh. And verse 23 goes on to say,

keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Now, in this very

famous healing portion of scripture telling us that God's words are medicine to all of our flesh,

healing or health to all of our flesh, he emphasizes to us that we are to keep our heart.

Other translations bring out the idea of guard your heart, protect your heart, keep your heart above all that you keep one says why why why does

he stress this so much why does he put so much importance on keeping your heart and

when he says keep your heart what does it mean keep it what keep it what keep it in

the right condition even keep it in the right shape keep it in the right condition. Amen? Keep it in the right shape.

Keep it in the right condition.

Protect it.

Don't let bad things get into it.

Don't let it get in a poor condition.

Keep it.

Why?

Because out of it, out of your heart, are the issues of life.

Or you can say like this, out of it comes are the issues of life. Or you can set like this.
