On this week's edition, we'll be talking with Dr. Gary Wolfram from Hillsdale College about two recent proposals by potential 2020 presidential candidates.

Also, Daniel Crouthammer with us to discuss the recently released new book of his father's writings called The Point of It All.

Dr. Paul Ray will talk about the American founding, and Dr. Tom Connor from Hillsdale College will join us to tell us a little bit more about his research into the American Battle Monuments Commission.

William Simon Professor of Economics and Public Policy, Director of Economics, and Professor

of Political Economy here at Hillsdale College.

Well, thank you for having me.

So we have seen in the past couple of weeks some proposals from two candidates who are

potential candidates, I think at least

one is an announced candidate for the Democrat nomination for president in 2020. Elizabeth Warren,

Senator Warren and Senator Bernie Sanders. There's a wealth tax proposal. There is an estate tax

hike proposal. Senator Warren, Senator Elizabeth Warren, has essentially it is a wealth tax proposal

that she's put forward. What would this do? Well, what it does is it says we're going to take

a 2% tax annually on assets in excess of $500 million and then a billion dollars.

And let's sort of think through what this is gonna,

what's this gonna mean.
