It's great to be back at Saddleback.

This place is such a place of changed lives and amazing stories.

We loved our time here in Southern California, Saddleback.

As much as I want to say how great it is to be here, I got to be totally honest.

And I got to tell you, I'm glad to be anywhere after what happened to me at Little Rock, Arkansas.

I went to Little Rock to speak at a charity event, and this pastor picked me up from

the airport. And we're driving to the event, we're chatting along the way. He said,

yay. I told a young woman in our church, I said, Lee Strobel's going to speak tonight. She said,

oh, the guy who wrote the case for Christ, is he still living? So I'm glad to be alive after that. I'm glad to be,

you know, anywhere after that. We loved our time here in Southern California. We moved away

because we're following our grandchildren. And so our two oldest grandchildren, my daughter and her

husband, moved to Texas. So we moved to Texas.

You know, it's a bit different than Southern California. I just got to tell you. I mean,

you've got a vibe here in Southern California. Texas has got a vibe. But it's quite different.

My grandkids totally got into it. They loved it, the Texas

vibe, you know, they took horseback riding lessons, you know, they got cowboy hats. My oldest,

the other day, just helped a goat to give birth to twin baby goats. I mean, that's, that's Texas for you. And they,

I'll tell you why I know they become total Texans, because one night at dinner, my little

granddaughter Penelope calls me Bapa. She said, Bapa, could I pray for dinner tonight? I said,

sure, so this is what she prayed. God is good. God is great. Thank you for the

Lone Star State. So I'm from Chicago. Got Chicago in here, there's one. But more Chicagoans?
