The author of the book of Luke is a physician.

So he had people from different walks of life, fishermen.

The Apostle Paul, who was the one that was grafted in and became essentially the replacement of Judas.

And there he was well educated, fluent in at least five different languages.

But Jesus had others that were unlearned and uneducated so that it brought glory to God.

But here in Luke chapter 11 in verse one, notice this verse.

Now it came to pass as he was praying in a certain place when he ceased that one of his disciples said to him,

Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

I'm speaking today about the preeminent keystone habit.

The preeminent keystone habit.

Isn't this interesting that while Jesus was in a certain place praying,

that his disciples observed him, and obviously they start putting two and two together that maybe the secret to this man's character

and to the miracles that he's able to do and to the presence that he carries when he enters a room.

Maybe the secret of that has to be in some way connected to this man's prayer life.

They saw him praying, and isn't it interesting, that the disciples,

out of everything else that they could have asked Jesus for, they said, Lord,

teach us to pray as John taught his disciples to pray. Now, can you imagine a prayer request?

Now, I know some other folks that would have said, Jesus, teach me to walk on the water like you do.

And I mean, they would have been moonwalking on the water.

They would have said, teach me how to walk on the water.

Somebody else would have said, Lord, teach me how to open the eyes of the blind, unstop the ears of the death.

Teach me, teach me this one.
