From Ephesians chapter 4, beginning with verse 30 through 32 in the new living translation,

notice there these words, and do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live.

Remember he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.

Instead, be kind to each other, tender-hearted, forgiving one another,

just as God through Christ has forgiven you. I'm speaking today from the subject, the new oil,

the new oil. All is a sign of our wealth, but, and what makes something of extreme value to us is its scarcity.

And today, the world has become a mean-spirited world.

A dog-eat-dog world.

A do unto others before they do under you kind of world.

And it does not represent the way of Jesus Christ. And here the Apostle Paul is writing to the church at Ephesus, reminding them that this is the way that Christians ought to behave.

He as a spiritual father to this church is bringing correction to the character that Christians

are to have.

It's a problem when you become so indistinguishable in the culture that you can't tell who's a Christ's

follower and who is not when the behavior is the same and there is mean-spiritedness

and harshness coming from the church as it is from the world we know they don't know any better, but we know Christ.

And this is why he's saying, don't, don't grieve the Holy Spirit.

Don't bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit.

He said, live with some values.

So it's just, we're talking about the the new oil which is kindness, just being able to be kind to other individuals. Remember, you will not be remembered for how much you saved, but how much you gave. You're not going to be remembered for the dollars you made but for the difference you made.

So we are here in the earth to be able to be a representation of Jesus the Christ.

And one of the good things is that it is true that you reap what you sow.
