So good to have you in the house and have you tuning in and joining in to set our year off right.

And I commend you.

Thank you so much for all of those that participated in our week of 5 a.m. prayer all every day this past week.

What a wonderful day to be able to launch things off in the realm

of the spirit. We are so grateful, grateful, grateful to the Lord. Our foundational text today comes

from Isaiah chapter 30, verse 20 and 21. You'll notice there these words and though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity

and the water of affliction yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore but your

eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a

word behind you saying, this is the way. Walk in it. Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever

you turn to the left. I want to talk from the subject simply, the future is behind you. The future.

The future is behind you. The prophet Isaiah was reminding them that God is a just God and he is a

gracious God and though we experience things that are not feel good experiences that God is still good.

God doesn't instantaneously become good because we just have positive circumstances to happen in our life.

It is, it's often like the prophet Elijah in 1st Kings chapter 19 when he was waiting on God and looking for God to come in whirlwind kind of experiences where it was

sensational looking for God in the spectacular and oftentimes the supernatural the supernatural

the supernatural does not necessarily show up in the spectacular,

but he can show up in some very mundane situations of life.

And we look for him in a whirlwind of experiences where there's a whole lot of blowing around

and a lot of fanfare, so to speak.

And Elijah was looking for God in the earthquake,

in these earth-shaking experiences,

where you just know that this is God.
