Can you hear the lawnmower? It's probably going to get louder because I'm walking in the direction of two guys who are doing some

landscaping, grass cutting, weed whacking, trimming.

And so that's going to get louder and then it's going to get quieter after I turn left and move away from them.

So I love baseball.

One of the curiosities of my baseball fandom is that I didn't become a fan until I was nine years old.

I lived in the Baltimore area.

The Orioles or the Major League franchise in Baltimore.

When I was nine years old, they made it to the World Series, played the New York Mets, lost.

I remember the teacher, the game was a day game, I remember the teacher rolling a TV set into the classroom.

And we got to watch baseball instead of doing math.

I loved that. That probably was the trigger to falling in love with baseball.

Here's the curious thing.

Curious thing is I have no recollection of ever even knowing about baseball until I was nine years old.

My parents were not baseball fans. They didn't listen to baseball games. Didn't watch baseball games. We didn't go to baseball games.
