But man, it's been my desire.

So all of this to say that God's showing me my relative unworthiness and showing me his holiness and what justice

demanded has totally changed my life. And I preach on the grace of God because right after I did all of this

I was expecting the wrath of God to fall and instead I got caught up in the love of God for four and a half months.

I was just gone and I had this love just flowing through me.

I've read Finney talked about that it was like waves of liquid love flowing over and over and over him.

I went through that for four and a half months, never slept more than an hour at a time, never

sat down and ate a meal. And my point is that I talk about the goodness of God, but you know what

makes me so appreciative is because I understand what I deserved and what a hypocrite I was and how self-righteous I was and that's the reason that the love of God has impacted my life so much.

And some of the things that I'm hearing today, many people just think

that grace is God saying, well, I'm going to look the other way. Or I just decided that I'm

not going to impute sin to you anymore.

That's not what Grace is.

Grace was bought at a huge price.

God is holy and justice had to be served. Look at this verse in

Romans chapter 6 verse 23. Rob mentioned this this morning's very familiar passage of scripture, but it says

for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is a statement that is carried throughout the entire Bible.

There is a punishment for sin.
