The special life teaching on the power of the cross is being broadcast

exclusively for our radio listeners. And now here's Andrew. As I said on Monday night, I'm teaching on the cross trying to explain that that's talking

about what Jesus did for us and that he didn't do a partial deal.

He paid the full price and that when Paul referred

to the cross he was referring to the complete atonement of Jesus that it stands alone

that we can't add to it all we can do is subtract from it.

I've used a number of scriptures that talk about how you can make the cross of

none effect through our unbelief but but not only unbelief, through our trying to establish

our own righteousness and trying to stand before God in our own goodness.

That negates what Jesus has done. So that's what we've been

talking about and of course that I preach on the grace of God nearly all the

time because that's what changed my life and I emphasize the grace of God but you

know what there is a justice a holiness and all to God and I think that sometimes people miss this and I've become aware

that there are people today that are preaching what I've heard called

Universalism or ultimate reconciliation that you know people are just

in a somehow or another automatically be reconciled to God.

There's a lot of people that don't believe that there's a hell. They believe that you

know you just live in hell here on the earth, but if you don't know the Lord, well then

you just

totally compromises what Jesus came to do because it's in understanding

what Jesus came to do because it's in understanding what we've been redeemed from that really makes us love the Lord.
