Okay, my friends, we are talking today about pain.

Oh, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, the thing that we want to avoid, pain, pain, pain.

This episode is about why pain. This episode is about why pain is good and I'm not talking about no pain no gain workouts. A hundred percent no that is not the topic of today but I'm speaking about other forms of pain

that show up in our lives which give us this gorgeous redirect in the most uncomfortable, most unwanted way possible.

Okay, so think about comfort, right, in life.

As human beings, we seek out comfort.

We're actually programmed to not seek out change

because it's risk, it's exposing us,

the fear brain within us wants to say just just no, safe and unmoved by things and it wants

us to have a very predictable life, right?

And look, that's understandable.

We understand this about the mind. Self-preservation is its number one job.

So of course, change, shaking things up, doing things we've never done before,

are never going to be a real goal of the

amygdala within us right so the fear-based reptilian brain which we all have which

causes a lot of stress and discomfort in new situations it makes us feel scared and often just wants us to return and of this, because of the way that we're designed as human beings, we naturally then don't really seek out

change. Often external change can be the change that shows up in our lives. So a situation changing,

may be losing a job, maybe somebody leaving us, maybe a negative health report, right?

All these things show up as part of Earth's school, and we have to live through our own unique challenges as a human being in our lifetime.

So why is it that in so many cases if there is a change that's wanted, it requires pain in order to get there.
