Summary

The conspiracy theory surrounding the Philadelphia Experiment is the stuff of nightmares. Believers argue that in 1943, in an attempt to speed up the arms race in World War II, the US Navy successfully caused the USS Eldridge to become invisible, teleport, and travel in time - which resulted in the horrifying deaths of several crew members.
