Now we all know that Tiger Woods drove more ratings than Jessica Simpson eating a whopper,

but in general, the game may have just gotten the best news that it has received since Tiger

went on the prowl a long time ago.

The 3rd and 4th rounds of this year's Masters garnered 16.3 million viewers on CBS,

which makes it the highest rated golf event in the last five years.

Now these ratings would be understandable if Tiger had been in the hunt or he was making a push,

but after making the cut, he withdrew.

And everybody knew it was the biggest story going into the final two rounds,

which means people still tuned in in record numbers.

Why? Because we had a showdown between the upstart live tour and the PGA tour.

Now these two entities have been at each other's throats, and we've seen it,

and two of Liv's biggest members were not only playing well in Phil Mickelson and Brooks Keppka,

but they had a legit shot to win down the stretch.

Now we love drama in this country, and nothing is more dramatic than

two professional organizations who despise each other, duking it out down the stretch for a title.
