I want to tell you today that what you are doing, even if you're not getting the results that you want right now,

even if they're not showing up at your door and all of their shiny perfection,

what you are doing right now is paying off. Now, what do I mean by that?

When you look back at your life and you realize skills that you learned, maybe they're very practical skills, maybe they're emotional skills, when you acquired those skills, perhaps at the time they were immediately useful.

Right, perhaps you maybe, I don't know, learn how to run Facebook ads and he started running

them and you created funnels and that was really cool, right?

Or maybe you learned how to pitch the media and you're like,

oh, amazing, now I've got this skill, I'm putting it to use and I'm getting these amazing new big features.

Or maybe you learned a skill like resilience or maybe even some type of athletic skill that in the moment felt like,

oh, okay, like this is, this is what I'm going through right now this is what I'm learning it's

where I'm getting stronger but there wasn't always a payoff right the payoff wasn't

immediate but perhaps if you reflect with some time, you realize that those skills

that you've learned show up in your life in helpful ways a little later on.

Let me give you an example of this.

A friend of mine, Adam, my best friend,

he is really, really good at tennis.

Right, he travels for it, He even goes to tennis camps. He's so fit, he plays so frequently, and it's wonderful, right? Because he gets to measure his success, he's progressing all the time, it gives him a lot of joy,

happiness is progress, right?

So he fulfills so much of his own tank, right, his own joy tank through this skill that he's learning, right?

This athletic ability that's certainly playing off, you're paying off immediately and overtime on the tennis court.
