It's not a secret within the community. They all know it's almost like a right or a passage for these fathers to take these young girls and do this to them.

And that's the crazy part of this. And it's almost accepted. And when you came out, you can maybe touch upon how you got hate mail and people,

well, you used the word shunned, shunned you and wanted to kick you out of the religion and a lot of stuff.

When in reality, you were outing someone that was a criminal.

Yeah.

And unfortunately, yes, the victim blaming and shaming daddy is, you know, in many other cultures.

But that's what they tried to do is just shame me.

And this has continued to happen even for sure since the documentary.

Shaming me and blaming me for coming forward.

And, you know, when it seems like that, you know, people should understand when I'm a young

girl under that religious community, that you are taught to obey your elders, your parents,

you know, whoever the leaders are. So it is very

unfortunate that, yeah, people did that to me, but what I have seen come out of now me coming

forward, and there's many others that have come forward, is there's much more of a community now

that is here to support victims and support survivors. I mean,'s much more of a community now that is here to support

victims and support survivors.

I mean, at the drop of a hat now, we can get somebody to go support somebody if they're

in the court system where it's help victims go make a report.

There's become a large community of us that are here to help victims and survivors.

And that I am very, very grateful for because there are a lot of survivors coming forward.
