Today we have an update in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie.

The biggest development is that the FBI is now analyzing DNA evidence from Nancy's home,

including a hair sample, but officials say this is not newly discovered evidence.

According to reporting, the FBI requested the material more than two months earlier

and the original hair sample had first gone to a private Florida lab

before being transferred to the FBI laboratory for testing.

Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie,

disappeared from a Tucson area home around February 1st, and authorities

still say she was taken against her will. Earlier in the case, investigators said blood on the

porch matched Nancy's DNA. Gloves believed consistent with those worn by a mass man did match

anyone in Cotis and investigators were already looking beyond standard database hits.
