talking to Dr. Alan Huguenot. Alan had a near-death experience following an accident in 1970. He is also a medium

on to the past lives podcast and being a guest. Oh, you're welcome. I'm glad to assist.

Now, you had a near-death experience. Could you tell us how that came about?

I had a motorcycle wreck. I like to say it this way, I got killed in a motorcycle wreck, and I usually say that, you know, being killed was the best thing that ever happened to me.

The motorcycle wreck was in May of 1970, and so it's been quite a while now, about 48 years.

And at that time, the official position on having that kind of experience was that you're delusional. There was no such thing as

near-death experiences because Raymond Moody didn't publish his book until 1975, and that was 1970.

So they wanted to tell me I was crazy and put me in the nut house, but today people want to talk to me like you do.

So obviously, we've

made a little progress. I'm no longer a nut. I'm somebody who had an experience they'd like

to hear about. So, of course, for me, that forced me to have to study consciousness and survival

and all of those things because

I knew that we, this life is not what it's all about. This is just a chapter in an ongoing

saga is the best way to say it. So anyway, the experience, I had a motorcycle wreck. They got me to the hospital, put me in

intensive care. I was in a coma for 12 hours. They postponed surgery because I wasn't

hemorrhaging, wasn't going to die from bleeding to death.

So they postponed my surgery for four days to make sure I'd stay conscious so they could do all the surgeries.
