| 0:00.0 | This is the past life's podcast episode 24. I'm your host, Simon Bown. My mission here at the past |
| 0:12.3 | life's podcast is to investigate evidence that demonstrates survival of the human soul. We will look at past life |
| 0:18.7 | memories, near-death experiences, spirit communication and other |
| 0:22.8 | incredible phenomena. You can visit my website at www.pastlifnosis.co.uk. This week I am |
| 0:32.6 | talking to Dr. Alan Huguenot. Alan had a near-death experience following an accident in 1970. He is also a medium |
| 0:40.4 | and offers readings through his website, Afterlife.pro. Alan, thank you very much for coming |
| 0:47.2 | on to the past lives podcast and being a guest. Oh, you're welcome. I'm glad to assist. |
| 0:52.8 | Now, you had a near-death experience. Could you tell us how that came about? |
| 0:58.0 | I had a motorcycle wreck. I like to say it this way, I got killed in a motorcycle wreck, and I usually say that, you know, being killed was the best thing that ever happened to me. |
| 1:11.1 | The motorcycle wreck was in May of 1970, and so it's been quite a while now, about 48 years. |
| 1:19.8 | And at that time, the official position on having that kind of experience was that you're delusional. There was no such thing as |
| 1:30.5 | near-death experiences because Raymond Moody didn't publish his book until 1975, and that was 1970. |
| 1:37.3 | So they wanted to tell me I was crazy and put me in the nut house, but today people want to talk to me like you do. |
| 1:43.9 | So obviously, we've |
| 1:44.9 | made a little progress. I'm no longer a nut. I'm somebody who had an experience they'd like |
| 1:50.2 | to hear about. So, of course, for me, that forced me to have to study consciousness and survival |
| 2:00.7 | and all of those things because |
| 2:02.2 | I knew that we, this life is not what it's all about. This is just a chapter in an ongoing |
| 2:12.1 | saga is the best way to say it. So anyway, the experience, I had a motorcycle wreck. They got me to the hospital, put me in |
| 2:22.8 | intensive care. I was in a coma for 12 hours. They postponed surgery because I wasn't |
| 2:31.1 | hemorrhaging, wasn't going to die from bleeding to death. |
| 2:40.9 | So they postponed my surgery for four days to make sure I'd stay conscious so they could do all the surgeries. |
