Hey everybody, welcome to Rob Zervations. I am your host of this crazy podcast, Rob Leifeld.

I have been doing this a long time. I have been doing this 34 years, not the podcast. The podcast,

I haven't even done this a year yet, but comic books is my thing. And today,'s perfect that my 34 years actually of making comics,

writing, drawing, producing, publishing, is a sign of my passion. My passion of comics.

And I have been obsessed these last few days thinking about the passion that I have

and that others I know and and whose work I really enjoy have for comic books as well as those

who seem to have lost the passion it's if it's your passion it's it's something you're doing

and uh and and and otherwise maybe it was your pastime and not your not your passion, it's something you're doing. And, uh, and, and, and otherwise, maybe it was your

pastime and not your, not your passion. But for me, comic books has never lost its, uh, grip on me.

It is, it is a, uh, I mean, it is a deep, tight, uh, grip that, that, that I just can't seem to shake no matter how much I would even try.

It's just a part of the fabric of who I am.

Comic books since I started my love affair with them, you know, 46 years ago, they have just given me that pop that juice there's

something there that a fulfillment a relationship a creative spark that I just

don't get anywhere else when I like a movie you know I I I'll pick up I'll pick up

with Avatar avatar is a movie that is know, I'll pick up, I'll pick up with Avatar. Avatar is a movie that is

interestingly enough. People seem to have, at least when they express it online, they seem to

have lost their passion for this movie that came out of nowhere with giant blue skinned aliens

and took the world by storm, became the best, uh, top selling, you know,

best performing movie of all space and time until it was temporarily upended by the culmination

of all this, the, the, the end game infinity war, Marvel Thanos saga, two years back. And then recently in re-release, Infinity War, Marvel, Thanos saga two years back. And then recently, in re-release,

it has regained its, it's, uh, its perch as the top movie of all time. People almost seem as

if they're embarrassed that this is the movie they deemed to be the best ever, but they deemed it.
