The following podcast is a dear media production.

Hi friends and welcome to the papaya podcast.

0:10.0

I'm your hostess, Trin Hermostis, Sarah Nicole.

0:13.1

And each week I'm going to be dishing out some sweetness mixed in with some seeds of wisdom or something like that.

So get ready to get inspired, get candid,

0:23.5

get real, because we are all in this digital space together.

I'm so excited. We have my friend Meredith Shaw back to the show today. And the last time you were on, it was a couple years ago. We talked to a lot about your career and how scrappy you were getting into the place you were of like plus size styling. And in the last two years, that conversation, I mean, just times it by a thousand. So much more has

0:59.8

happened. So why don't you give a little quick introduction, a reintroduction to Meredith Shaw today.

1:06.7

Oh, gosh. Well, thanks. Thanks for having me on again. I'm your biggest fan. You know I am.

1:10.8

I love your podcast. And so being on it the first time was a real, a real honor. You just talk to people so well. You know what I mean? You just bring up the best in everybody that you have on. So I appreciate that so much. Yeah, I'm the new co-host of Breakfast Television. And for people who are like listening in the U.S. and beyond and stuff, yeah, I mean,

1:29.7

it's like the Today Show or that kind of thing. It's like our biggest is Canada's number one

1:33.8

morning show. And yeah, and I now hold the female co-host spot that's been held three times

1:40.3

before me. That's it. Quite a legacy to join. And I, I don't know. I just got kind of,

1:46.3

I kind of, I still can't believe it. I'm two and a bit months into the gig and it's the best.

1:52.3

It's the best. And it has shown me and hopefully if you're listening right now,

1:58.3

this will be added proof that you're, what you're doing right now, no matter what it is,

2:04.2

matters in what you will eventually do. Like those pieces add up, even if they don't feel like

2:09.6

they are, the fact that you are showing up and whatever it is that you're doing, as long as you're

2:14.3

following what you love, I think the rest of the world sort of unfolds as it

2:21.0

should. And this has been proof of that because all the different things that I was doing before

2:26.2

this, they really were preparing me for this role because you have to be so multi-tasky,

2:33.0

multi-focused. That's really the skill of this job in particular. And so even if, I don't know, even if what you're doing right now, does it feel like it's leaving you somewhere? It is. Both I think probably in the positive and maybe the negative way. Like what you're doing right now really matters. So yeah, it's been, it's been unreal. You know, I thought about you coming on today and I was like, I wonder what she would love to share? Like, what is it, what is her message now that she's at this point? Because it can be very easy to look at somebody when they're at the top of their game and sort of be like, yes, all that stuff made sense before. It's really weird to be in the spot where it's not all making sense yet,
