Hello, it's Eve here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Tuesday. So I was chatting with

a friend over the weekend. She's in the UK and I'm here in LA and we were talking about

what is the new normal. The rules or guidelines here for example are very different to what

is happening back in the UK and I'm sure that is the case all over the world and we're

also seeing that some countries like India are in the midst of the worst crisis this pandemic

has seen and you know most of us have been living a much more isolated life physically

away from family and friends and now that things are starting to open up more at least

here in LA there is some uncertainty about how to manage it, what is the right or wrong

thing to do and I personally felt this on Saturday when we went to meet some friends

for lunch. We were in a restaurant and had two tables side by side as the rule here is

no more than six on a table. Anyway it's been a year of no hugs and not really much human

connection so this lunch felt like a big deal. We might actually be able to hug each other

or should we? These were the thoughts that were going through my mind and I'm sure through

everyone else's. We're just not sure what the new normal is and I think that's totally

okay and it got me thinking that as things are reopening and we begin to experience more

physical connections how do we make the most of them and work with our anxieties around
