Turn to John chapter 6. I hope you did your homework. If you're new we have homework at this church.

To read the Bible every week. I know it's very strenuous to ask believers to read the Bible. But last week I preached

on John 5. So last week's homework was to read John 5 and John 6. This week I'm going to preach on John 6. So it's next week's

homework will be to read John 6 and 7. That is correct. John 6 is about provision.

We're in a series entitled to revealing the mystery and you can get the, we're

breaking up in the sections, you can get the different sections in the bookstore afterwards.

You know, the first four were called the the beginnings and so you can get that

section and go and last week was the mystery of healing this week is the mystery of

provision. John chapter six is all about provision.

It is all about bread, natural bread and spiritual bread.

And I want to tell you a little story here.

Over 20 years ago, God spoke to me to do three things in the area of my finances, in the area of provision. It took me two years to get my finances in order. Without God's help it would have taken 10 years. I was in such

debt even as a young person at that time in my early 20s because that's the way that we're raised in America.

Let me just explain to you the American dream is actually a nightmare if you finance it.

I believe in the American dream. I believe in, I love our society, I love that it's built on biblical principles and because of that there is freedom but the problem is that the enemy

has entered in with bondage and so many people finance the American dream and if you do that

the dream will turn into a nightmare. And so I was in such difficulty

it would have taken 10 years to pay it off.

But when you set your faith like Flint,

that is an Old Testament term,

when you get determined that you're going to do it God's way, God will help you after he tests you.

Now I just said a mouthful there, so please follow all of that.
