0:54.4	In our last episode, I mentioned that my ideas for show topics come from a variety of sources.
0:59.9	Sometimes I'll carry an idea around in my head for a long time until it goes dormant,
1:04.2	and then something sparks it, like it did just the other night.
1:07.9	There is a series of cup shows called the Jesse Stone series based on the books by Robert
1:11.9	B. Parker, who also gave a Spencer for hire.
1:15.4	The central character, played by Tom Selleck, is a small town chief of police who lost his
1:20.0	job in LA thanks to drinking problems and is relocated to a small coastal town called
1:24.9	Paradise, located just a stone throw from Boston.
1:28.6	I was watching the episode called No Remorse, and Stone was trying to answer questions being
1:33.3	put to him by a shrink, played by William Devane, while enjoying his second Johnny Walker and
1:38.4	doing his best to come to terms with his feelings for his ex.
1:42.2	And Devane, in trying to get Stone to admit that he was putting too much responsibility
1:46.2	on himself, compared him to Wyatt Earp trying to clean up all the bad guys alone.
1:51.4	And that started to be thinking that Wyatt worked side by side with some of the greatest
1:55.2	lawmen in the West.
1:56.8	He wasn't always trying to do it all himself.
2:00.1	One of the best examples I can think of was when he was working as an assistant deputy
2:03.4	marshal in Dodge City back in 1878, and he teamed up with legendary lawmen Bat Masterson,
2:09.6	Bill Tillman, and Charlie Bassett to hunt down the killer of nightclub singer, Dora Hand.
