| 0:21.6 | All right. That's pretty cool. I'm about that. I'm just honored to be here with you guys. |
| 0:25.7 | You're kidding me? No, it's all good. It's all fun. We're just a little YouTube show. That's all. |
| 0:32.1 | I like the YouTube shows. Today, we are talking about the most important trades in Colorado Avalanche history. |
| 0:38.7 | I'm sure there's a handful that spring to mind for all Aves fans when we bring up that topic. |
| 0:44.5 | We'll get into those, but I do have a couple of honorable mentioned trades that I have to bring up first. |
| 0:49.1 | Number one, if we were counting this, this is inarguably the most important trade, maybe in all of hockey history, but it fell under Quebec Nordiques, not Colorado Avalanche. |
| 1:01.3 | The Eric Lindrosse trade has had obviously set up the original Avalanche to eventually go on and win two cups, but also has had repercussions throughout the entire NHL if you go look through a whole trade tree. |
| 1:13.1 | I think it's fun when you look at like impact of trade and just like the way that it does send ripples across the NHL, |
| 1:20.9 | especially when you have two to three team deals involved. |
| 1:23.5 | But the Lindrosse one, I completely even forgot about that until you mentioned it. |
| 1:26.9 | But that sort of sets up the framework for everything that's sort of moved forward for |
| 1:31.2 | not only this franchise, but several others. |
| 1:34.0 | Yep. |
| 1:35.1 | Well, I was a Ranger for many years, obviously a few years later, and I'd tell you one thing, |
| 1:39.9 | they were still pissed off about the deal, because they originally had the deal in place, not Philly. |
| 1:46.0 | You know, they had to go and, you know, they brought it to wherever they could to get that reversed and to get that trade nix with the flyers because they said, I'm not too sure. |
| 1:55.2 | I don't remember what it was. |
| 1:57.6 | But they say that they had a deal, and it was a done deal. |
| 2:34.3 | And then some got triggered overnight where Philly, it might have been Forsburg. I don't know. I'm speculating where all of a sudden it's like, oh, hold on a second. We like this one better. You know what I mean? So there was a little bit of shenanigans going on there. Philly ended up being the winner of the Swiss. I mean, sorry, Philly ended up being the trade partner of the Nordiques. And to be honest with you, yeah, he set up the avalanche franchise, obviously, because it moved a few years down the road. But probably was the start also of the downfall in the sense it was such a great trade. But what they saw for a couple years after, that I was still was still the same thing you know what i mean where all of a sudden they had one year when |
| 2:37.7 | they made the playoffs then then went back to being dead last or whatever they were you know it was |
| 2:43.1 | avalanche fan don't realize all bad the nordiques were for so many freaking years before they |
