healing, and high performance. And on this episode, I'm going to talk about control, but I've got to tell you a story first because I had this

wild experience with the indoor masters tracking field championships that took place in Gainesville

at the end of February, basically a week ago. And I ended up with lots of learnings as I normally

do. I applied by two nights sleep afterwards,

even though I was super frustrated after the first day of competition. But once I got through

those feelings, I started to get the insights. And that's really what's driving this episode today.

So I'm going to go ahead and fast forward to the first day of competition, which was the long jump.

In retrospect, I went into this wanting to do well so, so badly.

Like I just wanted to jump and PR and hopefully take home a goal

so badly that I kind of forgot about the fun piece. And so I take my first jump and it's, it's,

you know, it's, it's, it's okay. It's a good start. But then things start to go downhill from there i foul my next jump

which means i i i jump into the sand but it's not legal because i crossed the line i could jump from

and that jump is a is a massive jump but it doesn't count then that happens again then i foul foul another jump, another big jump.

Then I get in a couple incomplete jumps.

And on the last jump where it's like this is go time, it's my last chance to PR at this

potentially get gold. I know that I'm more than capable. And I don't even complete the jump.
