things that we learned about the mavericks in this draft that we talked about in the show earlier

today the mabs't positional size.

It doesn't matter if they're taking a swing on these two guys.

We think these two guys are not necessarily going to be on the Mavericks this season. They'll probably play in, they'll probably play with the Texas Legends. They'll be in the Mavs like development system. One of the things the Mavericks have talked a lot about at all levels, Dusty, May, Maasai, Mike Schmitts have talked about development. You have to develop players and you have to take swings on players and try things. And you have to try and see, all right, can we bring in a Morris Johnson and Dusty May is like his shot is going to be good at the NBA level. We can develop that and he can become an incredible player. We bring in a Toby Lawhal where his offensive game is maybe not the best, but he's an insane athlete.

Probably one of the best athletes I've ever been in the same room with.

And Maasai made a big point about development before the draft when

he spoke to us and so with the with both these two picks i think we saw the the positional size

and the swings on guys even if we're going to try take a chance on somebody and put them in our

system and try to develop certain things out of them you have to have the you know just the prerequisite

the things you can't teach la wallow six 8 and a half and a 610 wingspan. He's 215 pounds, and he can jump out

of the gym, a 45 and a half inch vertical, which was insane. And a standing vert was insane, too.

There's a video that somebody took of him jumping at the combine and me behind him and the stands just looking at him and all of a sudden my mouth just opens why like, oh my gosh. You look over at me. And I turn over at you and I'm like, did you just see this guy jump? And then you're like, oh my gosh. And then we watch him do this, the maxvert. And he like, so they do this thing with the maxvert where they have the little stick

and that has a little like plastic tines sticking out of it and you got to smack them right in this

audio you yeah you see you smack them and then you see how high you jumped he smacked over all the tines
