As soon as we ended the draft, basically, we were driving home from talking to Mike Schmitz and being in the, the, uh, we just walked out of the facility. I just got my truck. I'm like, wait, what? We got into our cars started driving home and all of a sudden Jean-Sherania, Mark Stein, Chris Haynes. Everybody started reporting it at once, which means you know that it's something, and it's down the road on something, that the Charlotte Horns are shopping, La Mello Ball, the Raptors, the Timberwolves are in on this, and there's lots of talks everywhere everywhere and if you're the Dallas Mavericks

you're sitting there and I'm looking at what you just did in the draft. Mores Johnson, Sergio

De LaRaea, Toby LaWalle, you're looking at positional size. We're looking at they want size.

They want guys that are 6-6-6-8-6-9 big players and lamello ball fits that bill six-seven can pass can

shoot can do a whole lot of things he'd be an interesting pairing for the mavericks he'd be

an interesting player for the mavericks he'd be a shooter that they need he'd be a playmaker

that makes a lot of things work he take a lot of you know the the play responsibilities off Cooper Flags plate. That's the thing we talked about yesterday with Morris Johnson. He takes a lot defensively off Cooper Flags plate, but Lamello would come in and be like a completely different type of player with that. But man, I don't. A former draft analyst who is now in a front office used to be a really big fan of him has some former

tweets about umelho had him number one overall on his board that that year when

lemo was drafted i just don't think the maps can can do it i don't think you can trust this like

this is where we are with cooper flag we're at the the point where, yes, you know, Kyrie is here for right now. And that's your, that's your second star right now. But you've got to pick the next, the next, the second star to go with, with Cooper Flagg. We did this with Luca Donchich. And we got flamed when we said it can't be Zach Levine. Zach Levine can't be the guy that you bring in that becomes the second star next to Luca. It ended up being Chris Osmorezingis, and that worked out to a degree, and then it ended up being Kyrie after that, and that worked out great. And for Cooper Flag, now we're in that same kind of situation where you're trying to figure out who's the next guy next to Cooper Flag. What's the next step step and i don't think it's going to be more as johnson i don't think he's like a star

type player he's going to be an incredible you know great role great role player in his in his role

but to find a star lamello ball to be that star one i don't think he plays enough two i don't know how

reliable he is and i i don't know about the style of play. And the way that he, like, even the way that he shot like this year when it went well for the Hornets, I just have a lot of, I have too many questions about La Mello Ball. And if there's already a bidding war for him, he's going to cost more than you want. Yeah, I'm out on it.

He doesn't play games and he makes over $40 million.

So for that reason, I think it's just a different type of, you know, time table.

We want to say that.

I mean, he's still, what, 24, 25 years old?

I think if we're talking about him being a very healthy, reliable player,

I think that's a different conversation, right?

Because he is still 24, 25.

But, I mean, you look at games played his rookie season, 51.
